Fully managed project

A turnkey chalet build project from detailed design to moving in.

We’re with you all the way to realising your vision. Every element is planned in minute detail to achieve an eco home that works for your lifestyle - and you can track every step online from tendering to site supervision.

What’s included in this?

Detailed design

We take a holistic view of layout and design from the start, bringing together our in-house team. Asking the right questions we build up a view of how you will use the property, your priorities, budget and tastes. Then we create mood boards, sketches, renders and detailed plans to make your vision come to life.

Eco Systems

We ensure our properties are almost passive using a fully insulated airtight SIP structure combined with other eco systems such as mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems, underfloor heating, Canadian well, triple glazing, solar, shutters/blinds, reflective glass and heat pump.

Sip & Timber Structure

The properties of the panels mean the design possibilities are almost limitless. At design stage our engineers create a 3D model of the structure to detail the options for achieving the intentions of the architect and client, then full structural calculations are carried out.

Concrete Structure

Our partner concrete engineers create the foundation layout and masonry plans based on the soil survey and the structural calculations from our SIP engineers.

Healthy Living

We integrate clever ventilation systems and heat recovery to ensure a constant supply of fresh air circulating and that moulds and allergens are filtered out, while maintaining a constant comfortable temperature.

Interior Design

We get to know you to understand how you will use the space and translate that into creating detailed internal layout plans, finishes & lighting schedules, sanitary equipment list and mood boards.

Landscape Architecture

Our specialist landscape architect is key to determining the exterior finishes and levels around the chalet. Their plan will indicate soft and hard landscaping.

Site Preparation

As ‘Maitre d’Oeuvre’ Project Manager we commission and oversee all necessary reports and surveys and liaise with Mairies and utility providers. We ensure the property is positioned by a Geometre and declare the ‘ouverture de chantier’ (start of works).

Tendering

We create detailed descriptions of works to obtain accurate quotes. Each quote is agreed with the client and Marches du Travaux documents drawn up and signed. Our reputation, local contacts and competitive tendering process mean we achieve great value for clients.

Site Supervision

Regular site visits and meetings are carried out to ensure the smooth running of the project and coordination between trades. Photos/updates from site visits are uploaded to our online system and clients automatically notified.

Online Tracking

All invoices, quotes and payment schedules can be accessed in a live online system with secure login and automatic notifications. All relevant documents including reports, contracts and insurance are stored in an online database.

Part Managed Project

We build it, you make it home

We work with you to adapt your design for SIP construction. We oversee the main works (for example groundworks, masonry, SIP structure, cladding, roof, windows & doors), then hand over to your internal fit out team, with ongoing consultation. You can track every step online from tendering to site supervision.

SIP Structure

Make your chalet build eco-friendly using SIPs.

We can adapt your plans for building with SIPs - the flexibility of the system means most designs can be built in SIPs and doing so will create more options for saving space, open plan areas and other design features.

NEED MORE?

If you are just starting out on your chalet build journey, we are here to help.

LAND ACQUISITION CONSULTATION

The first step is to find some land, however demand is high and supply is low, and many aren’t even advertised before they’re snapped up. Using our contacts with local estate agents we can help you source potential plots, visit them, send pictures and info, advise on suitability and construction budget, and liaise with the agent.

DESIGN CONSULTATION

Working with our local architect partners, we ensure your plans are designed for SIP construction, incorporating eco systems. We cost the design as it’s drafted and find efficiencies to ensure you end up with a property buildable in SIPs, to budget and specification, as soon as planning permission is granted.

Got questions?

We’ve got answers

Building an eco-friendly home is an exciting journey, but we know it comes with its own set of questions. From the ins and outs of SIP structures to the benefits of energy-efficient design, we've got you covered.

What does it cost to build with SIPs compared to traditional construction methods?

Not only will you save money on future household bills, SIP construction comes with other economies. The structure is installed in a matter of days so labour costs are reduced and hardly any on-site waste is created.  The panels are easy to fix to, resulting in quicker follow-on trades. Benefits of SIPs…

What makes your chalets eco-friendly?

We ensure our properties are almost passive using a SIP structure combined with other eco systems that harness natural resources instead of using additional energy – such as mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) systems, underfloor heating, Canadian well, triple glazing, solar, shutters/blinds, reflective glass and heat pump. The SIP system has a negative carbon footprint due to the manufacturing process and recyclable materials. The panels create a fully airtight structure which is highly insulated with minimal heat loss. This allows us to control indoor air quality and temperature, and engineer a building that’s healthier to live in and healthier for the environment. Find out more…

How do AA energy ratings benefit me as a homeowner?

AA certification for energy and emissions means your home is almost passive and heating bills will be significantly lower – an important factor during this time of skyrocketing energy charges. Energy efficient homes that are airtight, with controlled ventilation circulating a constant supply of fresh air and maintaining a consistent temperature, are healthier to live in as well as healthier for the planet. Find out more…

What materials do you use in your eco chalets?

SIP panels consist of a high performance rigid insulation core integrally sandwiched between layers of Oriented Strand Board (OSB). The panels can be used to create external and internal walls, roofs and floors. They’re precision engineered and pre-fabricated in the factory, shipped to site and installed using a unique jointing system in conjunction with traditional carpentry. The resulting highly insulated structure is quick to assemble and easy to fix to for follow-on trades. It is significantly stronger than traditional timber frame and can withstand extreme climates. Learn about SIPs…

How long does it take to build an eco chalet?

From breaking ground it’s usually around a year to completion of a fully-managed project. The SIP structure can be installed in under 2 weeks, then over the next month windows, doors, roof covering and external cladding are added. Internal works can take place over winter as the structure is so well insulated. We can over see all or part of your project whatever stage in the planning process you are up to. How we work…

What are the long-term maintenance requirements for an eco SIP chalet?

There are no additional requirements compared to a traditional timber frame construction. Learn about SIPs…

TIMELAPSE

Watch our team install a SIP structure within days

Described as a ‘revolution for building in the Alps’ in the French media. This time-lapse video shows how our panels are easily manoeuvred by hand on site, roof panels are placed by manitou or crane and on extremely difficult sites we have even used a helicopter.
